বিদ্যালয়ের সংক্ষিপ্ত পরিচিতি
আমাদের প্রান্তপল্লী হাই স্কুল (উঃ মাঃ) বাঘাযতীন রেলস্টেশনের অতি নিকটে। হাঁটাপথে মাত্র সাত মিনিটের পথ। আবার বাঘাযতীন মোড় থেকে মাত্র ১০ মিনিটের পথ। যাতায়াতে বিরাট সুবিধা।
ভারতের স্বাধীনতা লাভের পর দেশভাগের যন্ত্রণা বুকে নিয়ে পূর্ববঙ্গ থেকে আগত ছিন্নমূল মানুষেরা পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন এলাকায় বসতি স্থাপন করে। গড়ে উঠল যাদবপুর-বাঘাযতীন অঞ্চলে বাস্তুহারা কলোনী। তাদের শিক্ষার অধিকার নিয়ে কতিপয় শিক্ষানুরাগী মহৎ ব্যক্তির প্রচেষ্টায় ১৯৬৩ সালে বাঘাযতীন প্রান্তপল্লী অঞ্চলে গড়ে উঠল “প্রান্তপল্লী হাই স্কুল”।
বহু চড়াই-উতরাই অতিক্রম করে এই বিদ্যালয় ৬০ বছরে পদার্পণ করলো। বাঁশের বেড়া, টালির চাল থেকে আজ বিদ্যালয় যেন মহীরুহে পরিণত হয়েছে। ছাত্রদের পঠন-পাঠন, বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষার ফলাফলে, ক্রমোন্নতি হয়েছে। তৎসহ খেলাধূলা ও সাংস্কৃতিক চর্চাতেও বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রেরা সুনাম অর্জন করে আসছে। শিক্ষা উন্নয়ন ভাবনায় সফলতম নজির এই বিদ্যালয়। সার্বিক প্রচেষ্টায় ক্রমান্বয়ে শ্রীবৃদ্ধি হয়েছে।
বর্তমানে বিদ্যালয়ে কলা, বাণিজ্য ও বিজ্ঞান বিভাগে পড়াশোনা করার সুবিধা আছে। কলা বিভাগে ইতিহাস, ভূগোল, রাষ্ট্রবিজ্ঞান, শিক্ষাবিজ্ঞান, সংস্কৃত, অর্থনীতি, কম্পিউটার অ্যাপ্লিকেশন নিয়ে পড়ার সুযোগ রয়েছে। বিজ্ঞান বিভাগে পদার্থবিদ্যা, রসায়ন, জীববিজ্ঞান, অঙ্ক, কম্পিউটার অ্যাপ্লিকেশন, ভূগোল নিয়ে পড়ার সুযোগ আছে। বাণিজ্য বিভাগে Accountancy, Cost & Tax, Business Studies, CLPA, Computer Application, Economics বিষয়গুলি আছে। সাংস্কৃতিক কর্মকাণ্ড এই বিদ্যালয়ের প্রাণস্বরূপ। ছাত্র-শিক্ষকের মধুর সম্পর্ক বিদ্যালয়ের বিশেষ বৈশিষ্ট্য।
Brief Introduction of the School
Our Pranta Palli High School (H.S.) is located very close to Baghajatin Railway Station, just a 7-minute walk away. It is also only a 10-minute walk from Baghajatin More, offering excellent transport accessibility.
Following India’s independence, displaced people carrying the trauma of partition migrated from East Bengal and settled across various parts of West Bengal. Consequently, refugee colonies emerged in the Jadavpur-Baghajatin area. Driven by the vision of a few education-loving, noble individuals fighting for their right to education, “Pranta Palli High School” was established in the Baghajatin Prantapalli area in 1963. Overcoming numerous ups and downs, this institution has now entered its 60th year. From its humble beginnings with bamboo fencing and tiled roofs, the school has grown into a massive banyan tree today. There has been steady progress in classroom learning and examination results. Along with academics, the students have consistently brought laurels in sports and cultural activities. This school stands as a prime example of successful educational development, achieving continuous enrichment through collective efforts.
Currently, the school offers courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams. The Arts stream includes History, Geography, Political Science, Education, Sanskrit, Economics, and Computer Application. The Science stream provides options in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Application, and Geography. The Commerce stream features Accountancy, Cost & Tax, Business Studies, CLPA, Computer Application, and Economics.
